The Sales and Leasing Consultants sell and lease new and pre-owned vehicles to meet monthly dealership sales, profit, and customer satisfaction goals. Experienced Sales Consultants are expected to sell twelve cars each month and generate the highest of ratings on customer surveys.
Business Development Managers are responsible for utilizing customer contacts to generate internet and phone inquiries to create additional opportunities to increase sales. BDC Manages are extensively trained to answer customer questions, schedule sales appointments and build product value which will lead to a sales transaction. The Business or Finance Manager offers finance and insurance programs to customers seeking to purchase new and used vehicles. Qualified candidates for this position should have a college degree or equivalent experience in finance or two years of experience with dealership finance and insurance programs. This position also requires excellent communication and computer skills.
Receptionists, in most instances, are the first point of contact for our customers. For this reason, Receptionists must always represent the dealership in a professional and friendly manner. Receptionists also answer and route incoming telephone calls, so they must be thorough in taking and forwarding messages and provide basic information to callers.
Lot Attendants accept and stock vehicles for sale that are being delivered to the dealership. Attendants are charged with keeping lots safe and orderly and retrieving cars needed for a sales showing. Candidates for this position must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
Lube Technicians are entry level mechanics that perform oil changes and light duty repairs to customer vehicles. They are expected to have a basic knowledge of auto repair and some computer knowledge. Lube Technicians also perform state vehicle inspections and are expected to evolve to full service technicians over time with their increased level of experience.
Our Service Technicians perform vehicle repairs and service work in well equipped settings to meet dealership and factory standards. Each level of skill achieved by Technicians qualifies them for an increase in their hourly wage. Technicians work compressed weekly schedules that rotate every five weeks.
Service Advisors attend to the service needs of customers entering the service drive. The Advisor reviews vehicle work to be performed with the customer and suggests preventative maintenance or additional work to prolong the life and performance of the vehicle. Qualifications for this position include a high school diploma, two years of experience in a dealership sales or service setting, general knowledge of vehicle mechanical operations, the ability to communicate orally and writing, and being capable to obtaining an ASE professional certification.
The Service Scheduler responds to customer telephone inquiries related to obtain vehicle service. Schedulers are responsible for setting up appointments and coordinating service appointments directly with customers to ensure timely service for customers and a consistent work schedule for the service department.
The Service Cashier is the final point of contact for the customer who has brought their vehicle to the dealership for service. The Cashier receives payments from customers and must always represent the dealership in a friendly, professional manner. Cashiers are trained on dealership computer systems, cash registers and other office equipment used in that capacity.
The Service Valet’s chief function is to keep traffic moving in the dealership service drive. Valets check fluids on customer cars upon entering the service drive and function to reduce waiting time for the customer.
The Parts Counterperson sells manufacturer replacement parts to customers over the counter or supplies parts to technicians working the service dept. who are engaged in repairs. This position requires a basic knowledge of auto parts, stock numbers, and warehousing.
Parts Drivers deliver parts and equipment to and from the dealership throughout Greater Boston. Some Shippers and Receivers function as Parts Drivers on occasion. Shippers and Receivers receive and prepare manufacturer parts for shipment to customers, repair operations, body shops, and other dealerships on a daily basis. Those expected to operate parts delivery vehicles must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
Excellence is expected! Five years of experience are the minimum requirements for these positions.
Collision Center Service Writers and Advisors inspect accident damaged vehicles or vehicles in need to body repair, appraise vehicle damage to determine the cost of repairs to vehicle owners or for insurance claims and schedule such repairs for the timely repair and delivery of the vehicle to the customer. Writers and Advisors coordinate and schedule work with auto body technicians and painters to promote the efficiency of the repair operation and keep technicians and painters supplied with work.
